13 Going On 30...

Today, we were celebrating my little sister, who is also my photographer 's birthday! She finally turned thirteen and she didn't know what to do with herself. I don't know what all the excitement was about, since I know for a fact that she'll be wishing otherwise in about 10 more years. Which reminds me, just yesterday, I was barely over 15 years old and entering High School. Now, I'm almost 21 and still trying to figure myself out. Life is not only complicated, but short. My mother (lady in red sweater) decided to join me on my infamous Blog Photoshoots. My two younger siblings, which are my sister & brother (picture 7) took part as well...since it was my sister's day and all. We all went out to dinner and I ended up pigging out and even got food poisoning! Yep, way to go Laurie! The day was a great day nonetheless, and I was glad I got to spend some quality time with my family.

The amount of confidence I gained from rocking this outfit was ridiculous! LOL! I don't know, I just felt so chic! I've been trying to wear my thigh high socks for so long and I finally did. The weather is getting colder and colder, so shorts and skirts may need to go in hybernation soon :-\ I love Autumn though, so I'm not really complaining at all!

The other day, I was browsing through BlogSpot and discovered that October was not only the Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but also Domestic Violence Awareness Month. I've always been an avid supporter of any movement relating to either helping women feel or be better! This peeked an interest in me and touched a soft spot in my heart. This dress has been sitting in my closet for a while, and DVAM (Domestic Violence Awareness Month) being associated with the color purple, was the perfect opportunity to rock it!

Fall is HERE, and it is here to stay (until Winter comes anyway). I am loving every single minute of it. Jackets are getting worn and boots are getting walked in. Cool weather or not, Summer is officially gone. It seems that Indiana's weather is very bipolar...one day it rains, and the next it's very sunny and enjoyable O_0 Either way, I welcome Fall with open arms :)

Light rain. Good mood. Comfy shoes. What more could I possibly ask for? This day was unsually peaceful ...seeing as it was rainy and cloudy and all. When I first purchased these babies (my shoes), I was very spektical and slightly unpleased. They've been sitting in my closet for quite some time, and I decided to finally wear them. WOW! They are sooo super comfy. I think I remember why I bought them now, they were EXTREMELY cheap and oddly chic. I'll continue to unexpectedly enjoy how they feel on my feet too.

Curls & bold-colored lipsticks seem to be slowly making their way into my "usual" list. These days, my hair is always seen in an afro and my lips are gaining enough confidence to want to go bold and sexy. This is my first infamous blog post, *pops open champagne bottle* so therefore, there isn't much to describe. I feel like the new kid on campus who arrived late during the semester, & my roommates are watching while throwing me intimidating looks as I settle in on my side of the room. Haha.
